A Hilton Head Island man told deputies he was robbed at gunpoint while walking to his apartment Wednesday, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.

The 27-year-old victim was walking near the main entrance of The Oaks apartment complex on William Hilton Parkway at about 4:25 p.m. when a gray Honda Civic stopped near him, the report said. Two men got out of the car, one holding a gray pistol and the other a brown revolver, according to the report.

They took the victim's wallet, about $100 cash and his cellphone before driving west on the parkway. The Sheriff's Office is investigating.
