A Beaufort man has been charged and three others are sought in connection with a home invasion Tuesday, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office news release.

Cornelius Watson Jr., 24, was arrested Wednesday after he turned himself in to deputies on charges of armed robbery, burglary, possession of a firearm during a violent crime, pointing a firearm at a person, and assault and battery.

Deputies responded to a home invasion on Peacock Run in Beaufort at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, the release said.

The 31-year-old victim was awakened by four men who held him at gunpoint and stole his TV, the release said.

Watson was in the Beaufort County Detention Center on Thursday, with bail set at $175,000, according to the jail log.

The Sheriff's Office has issued arrest warrants for three other suspects, each of whom faces identical charges: Terral Vincent Thompson, 24, of Burton; Steven Jamal Chisholm, 26, of Beaufort; and Travis O'Neil Jenkins, 28, of Beaufort.

The Sheriff's Office believes the home invasion is connected to three other incidents Tuesday -- another home invasion on Shanklin Road and two shooting incidents near Joe Frazier Road and Carolina Village Circle in Beaufort, the release said.
