A St. Helena Island store was robbed at gunpoint by two men Saturday, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.

Two men, one armed with a handgun, entered Tienda Mexicana La Moreliana at 802 Sea Island Parkway at about 8:55 a.m. and demanded cash, the report said.

One suspect took an undisclosed amount of money from the register, and the other took a purse from a customer, the report said.

The suspects, described only as black men, drove away in a gray or tan box-style sedan, possibly an older model Lincoln or Cadillac.

No one was injured in the robbery, and the Sheriff's Office is investigating.
