Firefighters work the scene of a Saturday fire at Bluffton's Heritage Lakes subdivision.

A home in Bluffton's Heritage Lakes subdivision was damaged by fire Saturday afternoon, according to a fire district spokesman.

Crews called to 11 Allyan Court about 5 p.m. found the fire was deeply seated in the walls of the home, Bluffton Township Fire District spokesman Randy Hunter said. Firefighters continued working to extinguish smoldering areas of the structure after 7 p.m.

The homeowners were home at the time of the fire, Hunter said. No injuries were reported.

The fire marshal will investigate the cause of the fire, according to Hunter.
