A St. Helena Island man is wanted by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office in connection with an arson Saturday on Lady's Island, according to a news release.

Andre Glenn, 29, is also wanted on a charge of unlawful use of telephone, the release said.

The Sheriff's Office is still investigating an incident in which a Lady's Island home was damaged by fire Saturday. The flames were contained to the back room of 30 Spanish Moss Court, which was empty when firefighters arrived about 10:45 a.m., a spokesman for the Lady's Island-St. Helena Fire District said.

It was not clear Monday how Glenn was identified as a suspect. Additional information, such as an estimate of damages and cause of the fire, were not available from sheriff Sgt. Robin McIntosh.

Anyone with information on Glenn or his vehicle, a silver sedan with one red door, can call Sgt. Boland at 843-255-3707 or Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC (274-6372), or text the word TIPSC with a message to CRIMES (274637).
