Members of the Jasper-Beaufort ABATE motorcycle group find shelter from Sunday's rain storm under a bridge at the intersection of Highway 170 and U.S. 278. The bikers were participating in the annual Ride to the Sign event. "Every year we do this event and raise money to put up a billboard," said Thomas Taylor, of Bluffton. This year's billboard, near highways 170 and 462, reads "Look twice save a life!" About 40 of the group's members participated.
