We can afford wars but not the results

Even a dummy like me can figure out the VA problem. We've got more soldiers being saved from death than ever before, but they're losing limbs, their minds and everything else. We're saving their lives, but they require extensive medical treatment. The VA is overstressed and not able to handle this influx of injured veterans.

Washington got us into these stupid wars, now they should authorize these veterans to go to private hospitals for recovery. It seems like we can afford the wars but not the results. Making a great general such as Eric Shinseki the scapegoat is itself criminal.
