A Tennessee man visiting Hilton Head Island was arrested Friday, accused of breaking into several unlocked cars at the resort where he was staying, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.

Terry Miles, 25, of Knoxville was charged with two counts of breaking into a motor vehicle, the report said. A security guard approached him at Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort after a witness reporting seeing a suspect rummaging through unlocked cars, according to the report.

The guard called deputies when he noticed Miles seemed nervous and was offering conflicting statements. Miles also had several electronic devices sticking out of his pockets, the report said.

At least one of the devices belonged to him, but several others had been stolen from unlocked vehicles at the resort, according to the report.

Miles remains at the Beaufort County Detention Center, with bond set at $10,000, according to the jail log.
