John Pratt

A Hilton Head Island man was indicted Wednesday on charges related to a mid-March child sex sting, according to the Chatham County District Attorney's Office.

John Thomas Pratt, 56, was given a true bill indictment on charges of computer pornography, obscene telephone conduct with a child and enticing a child for indecent purposes, spokesman Kristin Fulford said.

He was arrested in March in a Savannah-based operation led by the Southeast Georgia Child Exploitation Task Force, accused of traveling to Pooler, Ga. to have sex with a minor, according to a news release. Five others were charged.

Pratt has been out of jail on a $25,000 bond since March 26, according to the Pooler Police Department.
