HILTON HEAD PLANTATION BOCCE CLUB WINNERS

The Hilton Head Plantation Bocce Club spring leagues have completed their season with cross divisional playoffs and awards dinner. The 16-team Inter-division playoffs came down to a finals match between the No. 6-seeded Zampinos (Corliss and Jim Zampino) against No. 1-seeded and defending two-time champion Cape Coddas (Pam and Bob Bredin).

The Zampinos prevailed 15 -9 to win the overall Club Spring Championship.

The Top 2 teams in each Division were:

Antonio Div. (Monday AM Mixed Division) : 1. Contessa's and the Baron -- Sue Johnson, Louise & Jack Powers, 2. Interlobbers -- Marilyn & Don Lorenz

Bruno Div. (Tuesday AM Men's Division): 1. Bocce Galupes -- Patrick Falciglia, Hugh Terreri, 2. Mt. Etna -- Chuck Johnson, Peter Ungaro

Carlo Div. (Tuesday PM Mixed Division): 1. Beachcombers -- Janet and Dave Hodges 2. Bocce Bandits -- Carol and Dick Wenk

Dominic Div. (Wednesday AM Mixed Division): 1. Cape Coddas -- Pam and Bob Bredin , 2. Low Rollers -- Kathy and Mike Harris

BEAUFORT SPORTSFISHING & DIVING CLUB

The Beaufort Sportfishing & Diving Club's June meeting will be held Thursday, June 12 at the Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club on Lady's Island, off Meridian Road.

The social begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7 p.m. Well-known, local Captain Wes Chesnutt of Southern Spots Fishing Charters will lead a discussion on summertime fishing for flounder, redfish, and trout. He will display rods and reels and some of his favorite lures, including live baits. You do not need a reservation and guests are always welcome.
