Economic Alliance has a lot of nerve

newsroom@islandpacket.comMay 24, 2014

Regarding the Lowcountry Economic Alliance, aren't these the people who couldn't make a go of the Beaufort Commerce Park, so the city bought it with money that might have been put to better use fixing existing problems in Beaufort?

And now they want money to buy more land? Their reasoning? The failure of the Beaufort Commerce Park was because it wasn't big enough to attract businesses.

One wonders why it was purchased in the first place, why they were bailed out with the public's money in the second place, and how they have the nerve to ask for more money from the public in the third place.

I have some very nice waterfront property in the Mojave Desert. Any takers?
