Fear armed criminal, not the permit holder

newsroom@islandpacket.comMay 21, 2014

I'd like to tell the gentleman who recently called for repeal of the new South Carolina law on concealed weapons not to fear the law-abiding citizen who carries a concealed weapon into a restaurant.

Fear the criminal who could care less about a law and brings a gun into a restaurant, whether or not there's a law allowing it.

He misses the point entirely and allows anti-gun emotions to overrule common sense.

In case anyone is wondering, South Carolina joined 48 other states in allowing concealed weapons in restaurants. Only one state does not, and that will also soon change.
