An episode of "Coastal Kingdom" that explores the ecology of Port Royal Sound has been nominated for a 2014 Southeast Emmy Award.

The episode will compete with five other shows on local channels in Atlanta and throughout Georgia for the award for magazine-style programming.

"Coastal Kingdom" airs on the Beaufort County Channel. The County Channel was nominated for two regional Emmys in 2012, but did not win.
