America ceding control to the liberals' agenda

newsroom@islandpacket.comMay 15, 2014

After more than 80 years of progressive/liberal disassembling of the Constitution's separation of powers in favor of a centralized federal bureaucracy, President Obama and his minions simply recognized that he didn't need to answer to Congress, the Supreme Court, or anyone for that matter.

Congress, our representatives, have been ceding control to the executive at an increasing rate. September 11 simply put that rate on spinach, and Obama's election (along with Democrats in the House and Senate) put it on steroids to finish the job.

The Supreme Court punted a long time ago when FDR threatened to pack the court. Chief Justice Roberts put the last nail in the coffin with the Affordable Care Act decision.

Basically, "We the People" have not paid attention and allowed the progressive/liberals to take over education and to indoctrinate several generations in bureaucratic rule while we were distracted by "Dancing with the Stars," "Survivor" and "The Voice." Why do you think People magazine tops all lists of the most regularly-read publication?

The Founding Fathers stopped spinning in their graves when we could not even stop the Environmental Protection Agency from rewriting the Clean Air and Water Act for a global warming agenda with much of the Supreme Court's blessing.

Let's be clear. This is not socialism. This is fascism, which progressives have admired going back to the 1920s and Mussolini.
