After pointing a Smith & Wesson pistol at her husband, a Bluffton woman was arrested and charged Saturday with high and aggravated criminal domestic violence, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.

Donna Bell, 48, pulled a Smith & Wesson .38 pistol out of her purse and pointed it at her husband after he started an argument over her recent whereabouts, according to the report.

Her husband's daughter then stepped in between them, the report said.

The husband immediately pushed his daughter away from the pistol, grabbed Bell and pushed her into the kitchen, struggling to get the pistol away from her.

Once he got the pistol from Bell, he unloaded it, locked it in his safe and called authorities, the report said.

Deputies arrived, determined Bell was the aggressor, and arrested her. Her bail was set at $10,000.
