A shed fire Monday on St. Helena Island caused $15,000 in damage, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.

Antwan Faison discovered the shed behind his Seaside Road residence was on fire when he arrived home about 3:53 p.m. Monday, the report said. Faison evacuated his family from the home and called 911.

Flames had engulfed the detached shed by the time the Lady's Island-St. Helena Fire District arrived, the report said. The fire also scorched nearby trees and melted the home's vinyl siding.

There were no injuries and no suspicion of arson, the report said.
