Presentation planned on speaking with Parkinson's

Angela Hammond, a speech language pathologist at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, will present tips on speaking and swallowing during a talk Thursday with the Beaufort/Port Royal Parkinson's Support Group.

The group meets from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month at Shell Point Baptist Church, 871 Parris Island Gateway, Port Royal. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Hammond has more than 30 years of experience as a speech and language pathologist.
