Two drug arrests brought a SWAT team to a Hilton Head Island apartment complex Friday morning, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies went to Ceasar Place in Allenwood at about 10 a.m. to serve outstanding warrants on Italia Torres-Lopez, 21, and Beaver Antonio Vasquez, 31, who were accused of selling cocaine, Sgt. Robin McIntosh said.

Deputies found Torres-Lopez at the home, suspected that Vasquez might be hiding in the attic and called SWAT to help them search, McIntosh said.

Vasquez, however, had been at work and returned during the incident, she said. Both suspects were charged with the sale and distribution of cocaine and the sale and distribution of cocaine within a half-mile of a school.

They were being held Friday at the Beaufort County Detention Center pending bond hearings.

The Drug Investigations Section also searched the home as part of an ongoing drug investigation, though McIntosh did not know Friday afternoon what, if anything, the search yielded.
