Beaufort Police Department looking for suspect

CITY OF BEAUFORT

A man was shot in the leg early Thursday morning at an apartment complex in Beaufort, according to police.

Beaufort police officers, responding to a call at about 1 a.m. at Spanish Trace Apartments at 2400 Southside Blvd., found a man lying on the ground near building G with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the left leg, a news release said.

The victim was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for treatment. Officers set up a perimeter and searched the area but could not find any suspects.

The Beaufort Police Department's investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call investigator George Erdel at 843-322-7958.
