Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services will offer free car-seat checks and installation help from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Beaufort Town Center at 2015 Boundary St. in Beaufort.

Experts will also be on hand to answer questions about South Carolina's car-seat law. Those who would like to have their car seats checked should bring the car they normally drive and the child who sits in the car seat.

The event is sponsored by Beaufort County EMS, the Kiwanis Club of Beaufort and Safe Kids Lowcountry.
