Kansas City victims were all Christians

newsroom@islandpacket.comApril 23, 2014

The April 18 opinion page carried a nice letter concerning the terrible killings outside a Jewish community center and retirement home near Kansas City. The writer refers to three Jewish victims. This is incorrect.

Although the murderer by all accounts was motivated by antisemitism, and, in one sense, all Jews are victimized by this crime, it should be noted that all three victims were members of Christian, not Jewish, congregations.
