— Police arrested a Rock Hill man Saturday after he allegedly took a swing at a Walmart loss prevention officer who tried to stop him from leaving with stolen merchandise.

The employee at the Dave Lyle Boulevard store said he confronted a man who had "concealed an item in his pants." The shoplifter swung at him and fled, according to a Rock Hill Police report.

Police watched surveillance video of the incident, and later found the suspect in a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the nearby Kohls.

Christopher Ryan Mullis, 25, is charged with shoplifting and assault and battery, according to the report.
