GM finally decides to study quality, safety

newsroom@islandpacket.comApril 18, 2014

There have been many astounding things that have happened during my life. Men walking on the moon, cell phones, computers, jet planes, medical cures and on and on. After scanning through newspapers and Internet sites recently, I came across an amazing announcement. (Before reading further, please accept that sarcasm also means mockery, scorn, ridicule and contempt.)

General Motors is establishing a company unit for the sole purpose of ensuring product quality and safety. Will Durant, the founder of GM, must be leaping for joy.

It is hard to believe that an American company such as GM only took 106 years to arrive at an executive decision to concentrate on something like quality and safety.

As Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong told us, "What a Wonderful World."
