Bluffton Volunteers in Medicine names new director

Bluffton-Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine has named Pam Toney executive director.

Toney was previously a unit director with the North Alabama Medical Reserve Corp., where she oversaw 100 medical and non-medical volunteers. She also was responsible for funding and community outreach programs. The unit received several awards from the Alabama Department of Public Health while she was director.

Toney completed her bachelor's degree in Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Va., and earned graduate degrees from James Madison University and the University of Virginia.
