TEA Party to hose County Council challengers

Two challengers in the June primary race for County Council seats will speak at the Beaufort TEA Party's monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Fuji's Restaurant at 92 Sea Island Parkway on Lady's Island.

Former school board member Jim Bequette and attorney Lauren Martel will speak about their races in the Republican primary.

Bequette is challenging County Council Chairman Paul Sommerville to represent Lady's Island.

Martel is challenging councilman Stu Rodman to represent the south and eastern end of Hilton Head Island.
