Exhibit to focus on Harriet Tubman raid

The Beaufort District Collection is hosting an exhibit about Harriet Tubman in the second-floor lobby of the Beaufort library at 311 Scott St.

It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through June 27, according to a news release.

The exhibit highlights the story of Tubman and the Combahee River Raid that resulted in the freedom of more than 700 slaves in June 1863, the release said.

Admission is free.
