A Beaufort man wanted by deputies in connection with a March 9 pool hall shooting in Burton was arrested this morning on attempted murder charges, according to the Beaufort County Detention Center jail log.

Russell Trent Manigo Jr., 21, is charged with three counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Manigo was wanted by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office for his alleged role in the shooting of a 19-year-old man at a Parris Island Gateway pool hall, a news advisory said.

The teen was shot several times before being driven away and then transported by EMS to Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
