Beaufort police investigating robbery

A man who took more than $205 worth of items from the Belk store in Beaufort on Monday told a man who chased him out into the store's parking lot that he had a gun, according to a Beaufort Police Department report.

The thief did not pull a gun, the report said.

Police continue to investigate.
