A reader's plea for more variety

There once was a prolific letter writer from Sun City, on whom Obama he took no pity.

His bi-weekly published rants, and the Packet editor's generous space grants

Reveal a sorry lack of alternative copy that is informative or witty.

Oh bored readers of the opinion page take heed, it is your imagination and insights we need.

Write an interesting letter on any subject matter, so the Packet may be freed from this misdeed.

A postscript to those so inclined, please keep the following in mind

Lest you think that political sentiment is verboten, know that both left and right may be freely spoken.

At the end of the day when everyone has had their say, let's care that respect be shown, civility be the tone, and factual truths remain unbroken.
