Experts to discuss agriculture, food policies

The League of Women Voters of Hilton Head Island/Bluffton Area will host a panel discussion of food policies and sustainable agriculture at 10 a.m. April 9 at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 3001 Meeting St. on Hilton Head Island.

Speakers will include Gerry Dukes and Zachary Snipes from the Clemson Cooperative Extension Service, local league member and Iowa farmer Kevin Schoneman, and former Experience Green director Teresa Wade. They will discuss the federal Farm Bill, genetically modified seeds and local sustainability efforts.
