MOUNT VERNON, Ga. -- The University of South Carolina Beaufort baseball team picked up a big road win Tuesday, beating No. 17 Brewton-Parker 7-1 in a non-conference contest.

Ashly Morris and Matt Kianka each had four hits and Blake Cilwick and JJ Crespo added two hits apiece as the Sand Sharks belted 15 hits. Cilwick, Brandon Joyce and Jon Andrews knocked in two runs apiece.

Nine pitchers each worked one inning for the Sand Sharks (14-15) and combined to limit the Barons to four hits. Starter Junior Delatorre (4-1) was credited with the win, while Shane Murli, Hunter Englehart, Ben Sauls and Gage Roth each worked perfect frames. Brewton-Parker's lone run was an unearned tally in the sixth.

The Sand Sharks look to carry the momentum into this weekend, when they travel to Miami Gardens, Fla., for a three-game Sun Conference series at St. Thomas. The first game is set for 6 p.m. Friday, followed by a doubleheader starting at noon Saturday.
