The day after attending a wedding Thursday in Bluffton, a man woke up inside someone else's car, according to a Bluffton Police Department report.

The 31-year-old Greenville man told police he remembered having a few drinks at the Palmetto Bluff event and then feeling very tired, the report said. However, he did not remember getting into a 2011 Lexus RX 350 and falling asleep.

When the man awoke Friday morning and got out of the car, he left behind several personal items, including a check that a security officer used to track him down, the report said.

The owner of the car said nothing had been stolen, though the Greenville man told police he was very sorry and would take care of any items that later turned up missing, the report said.
