Several cars were damaged in a shooting in Ridgeland on Sunday, according to a Jasper County Sheriff's Office news release.

Deputies and Ridgeland Police Department officers were called to the 8800 block of South Jacob Smart Boulevard shortly before 3 a.m. after reports of shots fired at Club Pluto, the release said. The cars' owners said they were inside the club at the time of the incident and did not see who fired the shots.

Deputies recovered more than 30 shell casings in the club's parking lot, the release said. The incident remains under investigation.
