Three tied for lead in HHIAGA Opening Tournament

The Hilton Head Island Amateur Golf Association season got underway Saturday at Oyster Reef Golf Club, with a trio of players holding the lead after the first of two rounds in the Opening Tournament.

Jamie Manning, Benji Gecy and J.D. Hoft shot opening-round 76s to share the lead in the Open Division. Trey Testino and Joe Bryant were a shot back at 77, and Jeff Wong was two shots off the lead after a 78.

Brian Gecy leads the Net Division with a 74.

Greg Wojcik leads the Senior Championship by two shots over Chris Morris and J.R. Evans. Wojcik carded a 77 in the first round, and Morris and Evans had 79s. They will be in the final group teeing off at 12:28 p.m. Sunday.
