Two suspects were arrested Friday in connection with several thefts from Bluffton businesses, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office news release.

Braden Michael Graham, 21, and Margaret Allison Gale, 28, both of Bluffton, were each charged with armed robbery and shoplifting following a traffic stop Friday. They are accused of stealing items from Sunglass Hut and Nike at Tanger Outlets 2 and Stein Mart in Belfair Towne Village, the release said.

At about 10:25 a.m., employees of Sunglass Hut told deputies they saw a man and woman enter the store, steal sunglasses and run, leaving the parking lot in a dark vehicle. About 20 minutes later, a similar incident was reported at Nike, where the man pulled a knife when an employee confronted him, the release said.

The suspects were soon spotted trying to steal merchandise from Stein Mart, the release said.

Both were being held in the Beaufort County Detention Center on Friday awaiting bond hearings.

Graham was also charged with possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Additional charges are pending by the Bluffton Police Department in connection with the Stein Mart theft, the release said.
