Simple solution exists for frontage road issue

newsroom@islandpacket.comMarch 10, 2014

I am a resident of Berkeley Hall and have been reading with great interest all of the "wonderful" ideas presented in letters to the editor about how to solve the frontage road issue.

In reading the Feb. 23 article, it struck me that a very simple compromise to the issue would be to build the access road as presented in the article between the fire station and the Berkeley Hall entrance as proposed by Beaufort County and add a full traffic signal at the fire station. In this manner the church gets its access, the traffic flow can go both east and west at both traffic signals, no one has to make a U-turn on U.S. 278 and the traffic flow at peak times will be divided between the two entrances.
