SC better off without education chief, Zais

It's an unbelievable comment by S.C. Superintendent of Education Mick Zais that by the time a student reaches 9th grade, if the student decides he is not going to a four-year college, he need not take any courses that teach the literary classics or any math above Algebra I.

Isn't this akin to painting oneself into the corner? How can we finalize a decision by a kid at this age? We all know that even in college, most people make adjustments to their career paths.
