Love to help. I have served in our chancel choir as a deacon and, most recently, now an elder. I just love to help, so wherever there's a need I'll do anything from make coffee to help lead a service.

Lifeline. It's that constant communion with your brothers and sisters and that fellowship that feeds you. I only came to Christ six years ago. I did not grow up in the church. For me, it's not even a matter of what brings me back. It's that I can't live without Jesus. He's my lifeline.

The call. There's such a blessing in answering Jesus' call. The way he works through us and our struggles, and the way he comforts us. And once he brings us through our struggles, we are able to use our testimonies in conjunction with God's word to minister to others. There is an excitement in following and being obedient to his call because you learn that even after periods of disappointment or discouragement his restoration and redemption are never too far away. It is my passion that others would know the fullness of his grace and redemption.

Favorite hymn. "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing." It's one of those songs that hits a deep chord of thankfulness. It's a good reminder that every blessing comes from God and everything that we have is from him.

Favorite Bible verse. Luke 7:47. "Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven -- as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little." I feel that throughout my life, one of my gifts is mercy. I'm fully aware of the depths of my personal sin and the death and destruction that sin brings, but I also know the depth of his grace and the beauty of his redemption. Because of the great mercy God has shown me in love I am able to extend his grace and mercy to others.
