The Mardi Gras Masquerade Party will raise money Saturday for the ongoing medical expenses of a Bluffton teenager injured in a hit-and-run crash in September.

The benefit for Alexandria Adams, 17, will take place from 3 p.m. to midnight at the Hilton Head Island Beach and Tennis Resort, 40 Folly Field Road. The event features a silent auction, contests, prizes and games, with a suggested donation of $7.

Adams suffers from sensory nerve damage, a compressed spine and other injuries as the result of being struck by a car while riding her bike Sept. 25 at Bluffton Parkway and Bluffton Park Crescent.
