Build frontage road toward the fire station

info@islandpacket.comFebruary 16, 2014

Recent letters and an advertisement in the newspaper suggested that Berkeley Hall community members do not care about the safety and well-being of Beaufort County residents and parishioners of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.

On the contrary, safety continues to be the main concern for Berkeley Hall residents. This is why early on in this debate, Berkeley Hall endorsed a recommendation to build a frontage road east toward the fire station on U.S. 278, which was the finding of an engineering study conducted on behalf of the church in 2005.

We have lived in Berkeley Hall for three years, and we have found our members to be compassionate and caring people who are very engaged in many local nonprofits and the community.

We sincerely hope the final solution to this issue will take into consideration the safety of all.
