Beaufort Academy girls defeat St. Andrew's for region tournament title

One week after wrapping up the SCISAA Region 1-AA regular-season championship, the Beaufort Academy girls basketball team added the region tournament title to their trophy case Thursday night, defeating St. Andrew's 56-30 in the final at Beaufort Academy.

Region player of the year Miranda Weslake led the way for the Eagles, scoring 24 points. She was named the tournament MVP.

Hope Gray added seven points, Anna Dyer finished with six and Mary Keane scored five.

Gray and Keane were named to the all-tournament team. Keane and Dyer were second team all-region.

Beaufort Academy closes out the regular season on Tuesday, hosting Hilton Head Christian Academy.
