Terrance Morgan

A Port Royal man wanted on an aggravated assault charge for allegedly punching a woman in the face Saturday was arrested Tuesday night, according to Beaufort County Detention Center records.

According to a Port Royal Police Department report, Terrance Morgan, 24, punched the 28-year-old Port Royal woman at her home. Morgan went to the victim's house to speak with his girlfriend, the mother of his children, who had gone there after arguing with him, according to the report. His girlfriend locked herself in her car, and the victim told Morgan to leave, the report said.

The victim suffered facial fractures and a broken jaw, requiring a hospital stay and a nine-hour surgery to repair them, said the victim's sister.

Morgan was denied bond Wednesday, according to court records, and is being held at the Detention Center.
