Former Penn Center director Campbell to deliver Malcolm X lecture

Former Penn Center director Emory Campbell will deliver the Burton-Dale-Beaufort Branch NAACP's 2014 Malcolm X Lecture at its Black History Month celebration.

The lecture will be at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in Grand Army Hall at 706 Newcastle St. in Beaufort. It is free and open to the public.

Campbell is a Hilton Head Island native and chairman emeritus of the U.S. Department of the Interior's Gullah-Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor Commission. He serves as the director of Gullah Heritage Consulting Services on Hilton Head.
