The St. Helena library will show the film "The Loving Story" at 11 a.m. Wednesday; a discussion about interracial marriage will follow.
The film tells the story of Mildred and Richard Loving, a woman of black and Native American descent and a white man who married and were the namesakes of a 1967 Supreme Court case that struck down anti-miscegenation laws.
The event is sponsored by the Penn Center and the I.P. Stanback Museum and Planetarium at S.C. State University, according to a news release.
