Four Lowcountry sheriffs will speak during the opening ceremonies of this year's Race4Love to show support for the race's sponsor, Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse.

Beaufort County Sheriff P.J. Tanner, Jasper County Sheriff Gregory Jenkins, Colleton County Sheriff R.A. Strickland and Hampton County Sheriff T.C. Smalls will help kick off the event.

The organization provides free services to those affected by or struggling with domestic abuse in those four counties. Proceeds from race will help fund those services.

The race will begin at 9 a.m. Feb. 15. It costs $25 for runners and $20 for walkers. For more information and to sign up, go to race4love.com.
