Reporting the weather should be done safely

info@islandpacket.comFebruary 4, 2014

I find it very strange that a TV reporter was standing between four lanes of traffic on a bridge on Hilton Head Island, warning us about icy conditions. This was at 6:15 p.m. Jan. 29, the same time they were telling us not go out in the bad weather.

Are we supposed to take this reporter seriously? Besides putting herself and crew in danger, and distracting drivers, is it legal to broadcast news from the median of a highway?
