Two Jeep drivers spun "doughnuts" on a Bluffton football field Wednesday, causing about $13,000 in damage, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.

Witnesses told deputies they saw two Jeep Wranglers driving in circles on the Bluffton Recreation Center's football field and gravel parking lot at about 11 a.m., the report said.

The Sheriff's Office identified two Bluffton 18-year-olds as suspects. One said they drove to the center at midday Wednesday but did not damage the field, the report said.

The incident remained under investigation Friday, and no arrests had been made, Sgt. Robin McIntosh said.
