Superintendent sets town-hall meetings

Beaufort County School District superintendent Jeffrey Moss introduces a new possible school attendance zone plan, Plan X, at a Jan. 30, 2014, meeting of the district's Student Services Committee at Okatie Elementary School. Moss and other board members are attempting to reach a consensus on a plan that could reset attendance boundaries for schools countywide.

Beaufort County School District superintendent Jeffrey Moss has scheduled town hall meetings to answer questions from parents, educators and community members in each of the district's five high school attendance areas.

All meetings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the following places and dates:

  • Hilton Head Island High School, Monday
  • Bluffton High School, Feb. 10
  • Whale Branch Early College High School, Feb. 24
  • Beaufort High School, Feb. 25
  • Battery Creek High School, March 3.
