Area high schools adjust sports schedules after 2 days of postponements

After the inclement weather played havoc with the area high school athletics schedule on Tuesday and Wednesday, here is a case-by-case rundown of postponements and cancellations, along with makeup dates where they are applicable:

Tuesday

  • Beaufort Academy's basketball games scheduled for Tuesday at Hilton Head Prep were postponed. No makeup date has been announced.

  • Bluffton's basketball games at Beaufort High scheduled for Tuesday were postponed until Saturday.

  • Hilton Head Christian Academy will not make up the basketball games against St. Andrew's that were postponed on Tuesday.

  • Hilton Head Island's home basketball games against Hanahan scheduled for Tuesday were postponed to next Wednesday. In addition, all Region 8-AAA basketball games scheduled for next Tuesday have been moved to Monday to accommodate makeup games on Wednesday.

  • Ridgeland-Hardeeville's home basketball games with Battery Creek that were postponed on Tuesday have been moved to Saturday.

  • Thomas Heyward Academy's home basketball games against Bible Baptist scheduled for Tuesday were postponed until Thursday night.

  • Whale Branch's basketball games at Branchville scheduled for Tuesday were postponed until Feb. 12.

  • Wednesday

  • Battery Creek's wrestling match scheduled for Wednesday was canceled. The Dolphins will wrestle Timberland and Stall at Stall on Thursday.

  • Bluffton's wrestling match at Hilton Head Island scheduled for Wednesday was postponed until Thursday.

  • Thursday

  • Battery Creek's junior varsity basketball games against Hilton Head Island scheduled for Thursday have been canceled.

  • Beaufort High's junior varsity basketball games at Fort Dorchester scheduled for Thursday have been canceled.
