Donna Capps

A Bluffton woman was arrested Friday and accused of giving a 6-year-old boy a black eye, according to the Bluffton Police Department.

Police arrived at the Bluffton Elementary Early Childhood Center about 6 p.m. Thursday after a teacher's assistant noticed the student's black eye, Capt. Angela McCall-Tanner said. The boy said Donna Capps, 29, who is not a school employee, hit him in the face, McCall-Tanner said.

Capps was charged with unlawful conduct toward a child and taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center, where her bond was set at $5,000, according to the jail log.
